Lancashire Pick Anderson For Warwickshire Trip

Lancashire have named a 13-man squad for their LV= County Championship clash with Warwickshire that begins on 4th May, including James Anderson in their squad. Fast bowler Anderson, who was part of England's squads during the Ashes success and the World Cup campaign this winter, has been made available for the match by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Lancashire Name Squad For Sussex Trip

Lancashire head coach Peter Moores has named a 14-man squad for his side's LV= County Championship match against Sussex which gets underway at Hove on 26th April. The two sides met in the opening match of the season in Liverpool, where Lancashire scored an emphatic innings-and-55-run win.

Maharoof Named In Lancashire Squad

Lancashire's new overseas signing Farveez Maharoof has been included in Lancashire's 13-man squad for the LV= County Championship match with Somerset at Liverpool. Lancashire will be aiming to build on a strong start to the season which saw them comfortably beat head coach Peter Moores' old side Sussex before they were not in competitive action last week.

Lancashire Name Squad To Take On Sussex

Lancashire have handed 22-year-old batsman Karl Brown the opportunity to prove himself by including him in a 13-man squad to play Sussex in the LV= County Championship opener in Liverpool. Brown has played just six matches since signing in 2006 and is determined to make the most of his chance, either at the top or in the middle of the order.

BDP's Manchester studio won the Lighting for Leisure Category at this year's Lighting Design Awards, the 'Oscars' of the lighting industry, at the London Hilton recently. BDP's Manchester lighting designers beat off stiff competition to take the top prize for The Point, the new 1,000-seat conference and banqueting venue at Lancashire County Cricket Club.

Maharoof Set For County Stint With Lancashire

Lancashire have announced the signing of Sri Lankan all-rounder Farveez Maharoof as their overseas player for the 2011 county season. Maharoof, 26, will be available for the entire season and has played in 20 Test matches and 91 One-Day Internationals for Sri Lanka, as well as representing the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League.

Lancashire Honour Brian Statham With New End Name

Bowlers at Old Trafford will be running in from the Pavilion End and the Statham End from the start of the 2011 season, the club has confirmed. Part of the Lancashire County Cricket Club’s redevelopment has seen the square turned 90 degrees at the end of last season to prevent play being lost due to the setting sun in September and to provide some additional wickets.

Lancashire Given Approval For Ground Redevelopment

Lancshire County Cricket Club have been given the go-ahead for the next stage of redeveloping Old Trafford after Trafford Council's Planning Application was upheld by the High Court. The case against the redevelopment had been brought by Derwent, owners of the nearby White City retail park, but the court rejected their claims.

Lancashire Prepare For Critical Court Hearing

Lancashire County Cricket Club's Chief Executive Jim Cumbes says the High Court decision over its ground redevelopment plans will be critical to the future of international cricket in the North West - and to the future of the club. The action brought by Bermuda-based Derwent Holdings against Trafford Council over the re-development of LCCC's ground will be heard in Manchester on Monday February 28. A judgement is expected by Friday March 4.

Lancashire Face Legal Challenge Over Redevelopment

Lancashire is facing a legal challenge to its plans to upgrade Old Trafford ahead of the 2013 Ashes series. Derwent Holdings Ltd, a property company, is seeking a judicial review after the LCCC received planning permission in September from Trafford Council for the £32million redevelopment of the ground.
