Lord's Start Times Altered Due To London Riots

Starting times for matches held at Lord's this week have been pushed back following the riots that have engulfed the capital and other major cities in England this week. Following consultations with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Northamptonshire and Yorkshire, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has moved games which were due to start in the afternoon to either morning or midday starts.

Former England Off-Spinner Fred Titmus Dies Aged 78

Former Middlesex and England all-rounder Fred Titmus has passed away following a long battle with illness aged 78. Titmus made his Middlesex debut aged 16 in 1949, going on to play 33 seasons of first-class cricket before retiring in 1982, also representing the MCC and Orange Free State.

Middlesex Sign Ryan McLaren For Twenty20 Bid

Middlesex have signed South African all-rounder Ryan McLaren as part of their bid to win the Twenty20 Cup for a second time following their success in 2008. Middlesex's triumph at The Rose Bowl came with McLaren playing for runners-up Kent and the fast bowler returned a hat-trick in the final in 2007 when Kent beat Gloucestershire.
