Harmanpreet Kaur has been named as captain of the India Women team and will lead the side in their upcoming series against Bangladesh Women.
Kaur replaces Mithali Raj, who had skippered India during the 2013 World Cup, and she will have Poonam Raut as her vice-captain.
Pakistan Women produced their best batting performance of the 2013 Women's World Cup but still ended their tournament without a win as Mithali Raj's unbeaten century handed India a six-wicket victory in the seventh/eighth place play-off in Cuttack.
Pakistan made 192 for seven as they batted through 50 overs for the first time in the tournament and then had India in a spot of bother before Raj's 103 in 141 balls guided them home with four overs to spare.
Mithali Raj played a captain's innings to lead India Women to an impressive five-wicket win over England Women in the opening One-Day International at Lord's.
Raj was unbeaten on 94 as India reached a target of 230 with three balls remaining in a tight finish after England had earlier been bowled out for 229.
England captain Charlotte Edwards and her Indian counterpart Mithali Raj got their hands on the ICC Women's World Twenty20 trophy ahead of their T20 match at Canterbury.
Both players would love to lift the trophy for good later this year and Edwards has already held it, after England won the inaugural tournament on home soil in 2009.
Mithali Raj will lead India's Women when they take on England Women in a series of two Twenty20 Internationals and five One-Day Internationals.
The two Twenty20 games are to be played on 26th and 28th June while the ODI series runs from 1st to 11th July.
India Women kicked off their three-match One-Day International series against West Indies Women with a win at Warner Park in St Kitts. Mithali Raj and Amita Sharma both hit half-centuries for the visitors, while Ekta Bisht ended with figures of three for 18 from her nine overs.
Mithali Raj scored a century as India beat the West Indies by ten runs in the fourth One-Day International in Rajkot to level the five-match series at 2-2 with one match remaining.
It was India's second win by such a margin in the series and the second time they have levelled and sets up an intriguing decisive clash at the same venue on 19th January.
