South Africa fast bowler Morne Morkel has, as expected, been ruled out of the third and final Test against Pakistan due to the hamstring injury he picked up during the second Test in Cape Town. The injury prevented him from bowling in the second innings although South Africa nevertheless wrapped up a four-wicket win that ensures they will retain the number one Test ranking regardless of results around the world between now and April.
