Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club have signed a two-year kit supply deal with MKK Sports. The Sussex based team-wear suppliers were established by former England cricketer James Kirtley in 2004 and also supply kit to Surrey, Middlesex, Sussex and Worcestershire.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Players will be taking time out from their final four day match against Sussex to attend Nottingham Playhouse for a history lesson on Tuesday night. First team players - Chris Read, Paul Franks, Charlie Shreck, Karl Turner, Luke Fletcher, Steven Mullaney, Alex Hales and Graeme White - along with Chief Executive Derek Brewer and Director of Cricket Mick Newell will be attending the Gala Performance of The Ashes.

Ali Brown Calls Time On Glittering Career

Nottinghamshire batsman Ali Brown has confirmed he will be retiring from professional cricket at the end of the 2011 county season. He is bringing down the curtain on a career that has seen him score 16,898 first-class runs with Surrey and Nottinghamshire, to whom he moved in 2009.

Nottinghamshire Sign Darren Bravo

Nottinghamshire have signed left-handed West Indian batsman Darren Bravo as their overseas player for the remainder of the season following the departures of Australians David Hussey and Adam Voges. Bravo, 22, is expected to go straight into the team to play Glamorgan in the CB40 on 12th August and will become Nottinghamshire's fourth overseas player employed this seaso after Hussey, Voges and Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal.

Nottinghamshire Award Hales County Cap

Opening batsman Alex Hales has been awarded his county cap by Nottinghamshire during his side's LV= County Championship match with Somerset. Captain Chris Read handed Hales his cap ahead of the final day's play at Trent Bridge - a game in which Hales hit an innings of 184.

Nottinghamshire Sign Tamim Iqbal To Replace Hussey

Nottinghamshire signed Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal as a short-term replacement for overseas player David Hussey, who is due to join up with the Australia side for the One-Day International series against Sri Lanka. Hussey's final game for the Outlaws will be the Friends Life t20 match against Lancashire on 26th June and subject to approval from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Tamim will be available for six T20 fixtures.

Nottinghamshire Fined For Fielding Hussey

Nottinghamshire have been handed a £600 fine by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) after they fielded Australian David Hussey without having registered him to do so. Hussey, who captains the side in Twenty20 cricket, had obtained the necessary dispensation to play for Nottinghamshire as an overseas player and has now been correctly registered with the ECB.

Wagh Brings Forward Retirement Date

Nottinghamshire batsman Mark Wagh has brought forward his planned retirement and he will now end his professional cricket career following the conclusion of the ongoing LV= County Championship match with Worcestershire. He had originally planned to hang up his boots in August to pursue a career in law but has now decided to leave Trent Bridge two months earlier than scheduled.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club has suspended fast bowler Luke Fletcher from all cricket for a period of two weeks. The ban comes following an internal inquiry into an unspecified breach of club discipline.
