An opening One-Day International that Pakistan should have won comfortably was turned into something spectacularly close in Sharjah by Sri Lanka's eighth-wicket pair of Seekkuge Prasanna and Sachithra Senanayake.
Sohail Tanvir and Saeed Ajmal gave them a fright but Sri Lanka held their nerve to earn a share of the spoils in the Twenty20 International series against Pakistan in Dubai. In doing so, they retain the number one ranking in the format.
