Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has dismissed talks regarding panic in the squad, but admitted their batting concern need to be addressed ahead of their next World Cup encounter against West Indies on Saturday.
Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who was earlier ruled out of the World Cup with an ankle injury, stated that poor tactics by the team management cost Pakistan their match against India on Sunday.
The biggest match of the 2015 One-Day International World Cup is done and dusted. There are 43 more days to go yet, and quite possibly neither of the teams competing today will be there at the Melbourne Cricket Ground for the final on 29th March.
Almost by right, a World Cup ought to have a team deemed clear favourites to lift the trophy. In 2011, co-hosts India and Sri Lanka were the anointed ones, and they did meet in the final, with the former clinching their second title. In both 2003 and 2007, Australia were the obvious choice and they didn’t disappoint.
