Contrasting fifties from Wesley Barresi and Daan van Bunge helped the Netherlands win the second World Cricket League Championship fixture by just one wicket against Namibia. Netherlands Move Closer To 2015 World Cup Place

The Netherlands avenged their ICC Intercontinental Cup defeat to Namibia at the weekend by beating them in the first of two World Cricket League Championship matches in Windhoek. A century from Namibia's Craig Williams wasn't enough to help them recover from a poor start to their run chase as they were finally bowled out for 237 in pursuit of the visitors' 268 for nine. Timm van der Gugten transferred his form from the first-class fixture into limited-overs cricket and ended with three for 37.

Cricket Australia (CA) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC) have confirmed the appointment of Ralph Waters as the new Chairman of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 local organising committee. Waters was previously Deputy Chairman to James Strong, who passed away last week.

World Cup 2015 Chairman James Strong Passes Away

Chairman of the ICC World Cup 2015 local organising committee (LOC) James Strong has passed away aged 68 in North Sydney, New South Wales. Strong had been appointed Chairman in August 2011 due to his experience as Chairman of Woolworths Ltd, non-executive director of Qantas Airways Ltd, Chairman of Kathmandu Holdings and a board member of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.
