England have called up Surrey fast bowler Jade Dernbach to replace Ajmal Shahzad in their 15-man ICC Cricket World Cup squad. Shahzad has suffered a hamstring injury and Dernbach comes into the squad following approval from the ICC Technical Committee.

Brilliant Stirling Century Sets Up Ireland Victory

Ireland rounded off their Cricket World Cup campaign with an imrpessive six-wicket victory over the Netherlands after Paul Stirling blasted 101 in 72 balls. Ryan ten Doeschate had earlier hit 106 as the Dutch were dismissed for 306 but Stirling's effort, which included 14 fours and two sixes, set the Irish up to taste victory - for the second time in the tournament - with 14 balls to spare.

Davison To Retire Following Cricket World Cup

Canada international John Davison has announced he is to retire from playing cricket at the end of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Davison, 40, is best remembered for an outstanding innings of 111 against the West Indies in the 2003 World Cup and has played 32 One-Day Internationals for Canada having previously represented South Australia and Victoria.
