Zimbabwe Extend Bulawayo Winning Streak

Zimbabwe stretched their winning streak against Bangladesh to three matches by prevailing in a tense opening T20 International in Bulawayo. Their impressive total of 168 for five was built on the back of a fine second-wicket stand of 74 between Brendan Taylor and Hamilton Maskadza, while their bowlers kept plugging away despite the Bangladeshi pair of Shakib Al Hasan and Shamsur Rahman putting on a substantial second-wicket stand of their own.

Zimbabwe Complete Harare Demolition

Heading into this Test, if you were going to back either side to collapse for less than 150 in both innings then you would have gone for Zimbabwe. However, thanks to their captain Brendan Taylor, they have instead posted two good totals and then watched as the tourists imploded twice in less than 55 overs. This afternoon, Bangladesh managed 13 more than they did in their first innings, but still found themselves the vanquished team by a margin of 335 runs.

Shillingford Spins Inept Zimbabwe To Innings Defeat

Zimbabwe's second innings was almost a carbon copy of their dismal first innings effort as they collapsed to defeat inside three days in Dominica. A promising start from the openers, making the most of some wayward opening spells from the West Indians, was quickly squandered upon the introduction of spin as again they displayed a poor technique and played the sweep shot poorly against the bouncing ball.

Chanderpaul Pleased With Century After Digging In

Both Chris Gayle and Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored centuries on day two of the second Test against Zimbabwe in Dominica as West Indies assumed a controlling position in the match. It Was A Great Day For Me - Shillingford

Shillingford Six Gives Home Side Victory

Zimbabwe's slim hopes of victory all but disappeared in the first over on day three as they lost captain Brendan Taylor for just six. The remainder of the middle-order folded to Shane Shillingford, who ended with six for 49, and but for Craig Ervine, who was dropped twice, an innings defeat would have been the result. As it was, just two overs after an interestingly scheduled lunch interval, West Indies wrapped up a nine-wicket win.

There was a time on day two of the opening Test in Barbados, with West Indies teetering on 151 for six in reply to Zimbabwe's 211, that the home side were in trouble.
