The United Arab Emirates sealed a second successive one-day victory over Afghanistan with a comprehensive 69-run victory in Sharjah.

Khurram Khan once again put in an outstanding performance to first top score with 43 as the UAE closed on 221 for eight and then take three wickets as Afghanistan were bowled out for 152 in reply.

Ahmed Raza (35) was also in the runs for the home side as all but one of the eight dismissed batsmen reached double figures to set up a winning score despite Hamza Hotak's three for 43 and Samiullah Shenwari's two for 35.

In addition to Khan's haul of three for 24, Shadeep Silva, Raza and Vikrant Shetty also took two wickets as Afghanistan were dismissed in 44.4 overs.

Asghar Stanikizai top scored with 33 and Karim Sadiq made 31 but Aghanistan missed out on the chance to move into a two-point lead at the top of the one-day league table which will determine the first two qualifiers for the 2015 World Cup.

South African Louis Vorster, who represented Worcestershire and Namibia during his cricket career, has been shot dead at the age of 45. He was killed after leaving a petrol station in Pretoria, police confirmed on Wednesday (18th April).
Bangladesh's impending tour of Pakistan, scheduled to take place later this month has been postponed. The two countries confirmed that a One-Day International and a Twenty20 International would be played but just ten days before the first match is slated to be played, the Bangladesh High Court has intervened.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that Bangladesh will tour Pakistan to play two limited overs internationals in Lahore later this month. A One-Day International is scheduled for 29th April and the Twenty20 International will take place one day later.
