Uncapped quick bowler Jaydev Unadkat has been drafted into India's Test squad as a replacement for injured left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan.

Zaheer will be unavailable for the third and final Test against New Zealand, which begins on 20th November in Nagpur, after he picked up a groin injury in the second match in Hyderabad.

"Zaheer Khan is injured and is unavailable for the Third Test against New Zealand, to be played at Nagpur from 20th November to 24th November," a BCCI statement read.

"The All India Selection Committee has chosen Jayadev Unadkat to replace Zaheer Khan in the squad."

Unadkat, 19, has played just six first-class matches, impressing during this year's Irani Cup match between the Rest Of India and Mumbai when he took four wickets.

Like Zaheer, he is a left-arm pace bowler and India go into the final match with the series level following two draws in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
