Video - Badree, Santokie, Smith Silence Home Crowd - Cricket World TV

West Indians Samuel Badree, Krishmar Santokie and Dwayne Smith played key roles as the West Indies hammered Bangladesh by 73 runs in today's ICC World Twenty20 match in Mirpur.

Our latest news video round-up of the action looks back on the reigning champions winning their first game of the competition in comprehensive fashion.

Dwayne Smith led the way with the bat, making 72, while Chris Gayle also played his part in a bizarre innings that was a mix of big hitting, appalling fielding and outstanding fielding, particularly towards the end.

Bangladesh's innings was more clear-cut as they were dismissed for just 98 having been set 172 to win.

Slow bowlers Badree and Santokie shared seven wickets as Bangladesh failed to reach three figures in their first outing of the tournament, resulting in many home fans streaming for the exits in disappointment.
