Cricket Video - Brooks Macdonald And Middlesex Seal Partnership Deal

20 January 2012

Middlesex County Cricket Club has announced that a new long-term sponsorship agreement has been reached with integrated wealth management group, Brooks Macdonald, which will see the AIM listed company become the club’s principal sponsor until at least the end of the 2014 season.

The arrival of Brooks Macdonald as the club’s main sponsor coincides with Middlesex’s return to the top flight of the domestic first class structure, as the Lord’s based side signed off a brilliant 2011 season with promotion into Division One of the LV= County Championship on the final day of last season.

Brooks Macdonald has signed an initial three year agreement with Middlesex which will see their brand emblazoned across the front, back and collars of the Middlesex CCC players’ shirts in all three forms of the game, as well as at the Home of Cricket, with an in-ground advertising presence at Lord’s.

Chief Executive of Middlesex County Cricket Club, Vinny Codrington, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have signed an agreement with Brooks Macdonald which will see our organisations working closely together over the coming years.

With the current economic conditions we find ourselves in, we are thrilled that Brooks Macdonald has committed their future to Middlesex County Cricket Club for the next three years, as the revenue from this sponsorship agreement ensures that we as a club can move forward and pursue our vision and goals with confidence and financial stability both on and off the field.

We would like to formally welcome Brooks Macdonald into the Middlesex family and are looking forward to working with them over the years ahead to forge an enjoyable and successful partnership”.

On announcing their alliance with Middlesex CCC, Brooks Macdonald Chief Executive, Chris Macdonald said……

“Following the significant growth of the Group over recent years, we have been exploring options to further increase the visibility of the Brooks Macdonald brand amongst our target client base. As a firm, we are passionate about wealth management and sport and having considered a number of opportunities, the sponsorship of Middlesex was by far the strongest fit as well as a logical expansion of our long running sponsorship of schools’ sports teams and other amateur sports clubs, which number in excess of 50 since our launch.  These will continue.

“The three year deal is an important milestone in our marketing activity and we are very excited to be working closely with the Middlesex team.”
