Australia captain Michael Clarke tells watching crowds he is 'extremely proud' of his side's 5-0 Ashes win over England during a public celebration in Sydney.
Fans turned out to honour the team at the Sydney Opera House two days after Clarke's side completed a 281-run win at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the fifth and final Test.
"Yeah, look: extremely proud, I guess that's how I feel at the moment," Clarke said.
"The work the guys have put in has been over a long period of time. We have finally got the rewards. So, obviously it is extremely satisfying.
Clarke went on to thank the fans for their support they have given to the team during the series.
"I cant thank you enough," he said. "Long may this form continue for this team and I do believe that you guys played such a huge part in the success we have as the Australian cricket team.
"I hope one day I am standing in the crowd and cheering the next Ashes team that comes and wins 5-0 because I think it's an amazing achievement.
"The players are extremely proud and I think every single one of the public should be extremely proud as well."
