England captain Alastair Cook is keen for everyone to move on from the David Warner-Joe Root altercation that has been dominating the build-up to his side's important Champions Trophy 2013 clash with Sri Lanka tomorrow (13th June).
Warner was dropped for Australia's game against New Zealand and Cook reported that Root suffered no injury during the incident, which happened when players from both sides were in Birmingham in the early hours of Sunday morning.
"It's a shame that has happened, it has marred what was a very good win for us as a one-day team," Cook said at a press conference.
"But it is time to move on now, especially for us and we've got a very important game to play tomorrow."
He adds that Root is absolutely fine, keen to get back on the pitch and put the incident behind him.
