Video - Dhoni Looking Forward To South Africa ODIs

Watch as India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni previews the One-Day International series in South Africa, saying he is looking forward to the challenge.

He added that there is a 'lot of love and respect' between the two sides and that he is keen to build on the previous series in South Africa, which India weren't able to win.

"Last time when we came here we had a good opportunity to win the series, but we didn't cash in on that," Dhoni said.

"I think it is important that we play well. The only thing is that in a three-match series, you know, it becomes difficult if a team lacks behind and loses the first game, you know then there's a bit of extra pressure on the team that has lost the first game."

Dhoni says that his team will be ready for the conditions in South Africa and doesn't expect too many surprises.

"I think the guys are quite familiar with the conditions out here but still I feel South Africa is one place where a lot depends on how the wicket is prepared and how the conditions are, whether it's overcast or a bright sunny day when the wickets can be really good for batting.

"So I think a lot will depend on, you know, what the circumstances are on that particular day, but you know keeping all that aside I think we all have a lot of love and respect for the South African players and whenever we have played a series against them it has been a tough series."
