England fast bowler Tim Bresnan says England will respond to their heavy defeat in the first Ashes Test in Brisbane with a fighting performance in Adelaide.
Having been brought back into the squad following his recovery from back surgery, Bresnan is tipped by many to come into the team in place of Chris Tremlett for tonight's second Test (5th December).
While he admits that the 381-run defeat at the Gabba has affected the squad, he is hopeful they will bounce back.
"You know the heavy defeat we took two weeks ago (in the first Test) did dent us but you know but we are a group of guys, especially when our backs are against the wall, we come out fighting," Bresnan said.
"We've done it time and time again in test series, especially when we're put under pressure and in a corner.
"That's really when we show our mental fortitude."
