Watch as Kevin Pietersen responds to claims he is arrogant and David Warner makes no attempt to distance himself from such claims.
Pietersen, who will be playing his 100th Test when the two sides begin the Ashes series in Brisbane later this week, has already taken to Twitter to mock a Brisbane newspaper's claim that even those inside the England dressing room dislike him.
"I can't help people thinking that I am arrogant," he said. "I think a lot of great sportsmen out there have that little bit of something to them that makes them try and be the best and want to be the best and wake up every single day wanting to improve. I call it confidence.
"We've all made mistakes in all our lives - and that's where you learn the most. And if I hadn't have learned, I wouldn't be sitting here on the eve of my 100th Test match."
And Warner, no stranger to controversy himself, added that Australia were keen to make sure Pietersen's 100th Test would not be a memorable one, but not before getting in a dig at the England man.
"He is already talking his garbage but that's how he is. He lets his ego take over and he thrives on that. But 100th Test, we are here to spoil it and I reckon we will."
@bendorries so do I mate.. Putting me on the front page does wonders for my ego! You've done me proud. Thank you x— Kevin Pietersen (@KP24) November 18, 2013
