The dust has barely settled on Sri Lanka's 20-run victory over Australia that saw them into the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 semi-finals but Mahela Jayawardene is already looking ahead to the clash with India.
The elegant right-hander stroked an unbeaten 84 to set up Sri Lanka's winning score of 253 for eight and says that he is looking forward to taking on India, who sailed through the group stages with three wins in three.
Jayawardene, who scored a century during the 2011 World Cup final when India beat Sri Lanka, reached his 11,000th ODI run during the game at The Oval, but he was more happy to celebrate the team's success than his own.
"Obviously, pleased when the numbers came up. But, obviously, I can tonight probably reflect more on that achievement because we won the game as well," he said.
"So importantly the contribution that I made towards the team is much more valuable for me, but quietly I should be able to reflect on that achievement."
