Former Middlesex and England spinner John Emburey believes his former side are unlikely to clinch this year's LV= County Championship title.
He says that recent defeats to Derbyshire and Somerset have cost them dearly and they have ceded ground to Durham and Yorkshire ahead of the final three rounds of the season.
He goes on to add that although the victory over Surrey in their last match was important, the he heard the pitch prepared at The Oval was 'disgraceful' and that something should be done about wickets that favour the bowlers too much.
Emburey, who played 64 Tests and 61 One-Day Internationals for England, was talking to us at a 'Battle Of The Ashes' event held in London and run by D & G Partners.
