Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting discusses the end of his first-class career, his plans for the future and the start of the 2013 Ashes series.
He left the first-class game with an innings of 169 not out which helped Surrey secure a draw against Nottinghamshire, although he says he was able to stay in the moment and not get too bothered about it being his final appearance.
"I obviously knew it was my last first-class game going into the game, but the way the game unfolded, I had to sort of stay in the moment, you know, bat as long and as well as I could," he said.
He now plans to play Twenty20 cricket in the Caribbean Premier League and end his career for good following the Champions League Twenty20, where he will be part of the Mumbai Indians squad.
