In this exclusive video interview, Ted Dexter talks about the challenges involved in captaining England, a role he had between 1961 and 1964.
However, he says that captaining the team is not too much different from captaining any team but adds that he was fortunate to have experience of captaincy before succeeding Peter May.
He talks about the challenges of motiviating different players in different ways and how lucky he was to be in the job when he had a lot of helpful people around him.
Dexter played 62 Tests for England, also captaining Sussex, Cambridge University and the MCC.
