Watch as Hashim Amla says that the sort of ups and downs that both sides experienced on day two of the opening Test in Johannesburg make Test cricket the best format for him.
Both sides collapsed dramatically, India going from 255 for five to be all out for 280 and South Africa slipping from 130 for one to 146 for six, before they were eventually bowled out early on day three for 244.
Amla, who made 36 before being bowled by Ishant Sharma, was pleased that the Proteas had managed to recover to 213 for six by stumps.
"I think we were in a similar position in Abu Dhabi so we haven't played a lot of Test cricket this year itself so, yes, we have found ourselves in a spot of bother a few times and, thankfully, on this occasion - well, we're not out of the woods yet - we have made some sort of recovery.
"I can't recall all the other games but this is Test cricket, this is probably what makes it probably the best format - the ups and downs and how the game can change quite quickly."
