Video - Vijay Reflects On Dream Day

Watch as Indian opening batsman Murali Vijay reflects on a dream first day of the Test series against England at Trent Bridge, which ended with him not out on 122.

Vijay's fourth Test century was his first outside India and it helped India make the most of winning the toss as they closed on 259 for four.

He hit 20 fours and a six during his innings and thoroughly enjoyed his day in Nottingham.

"I just want to cash in on this opportunity that I've got in England, because this is a big series and I really dreamt of this when I was young, so obviously it's a happy feeling for me," he said.

A lot has been made of the pitch already, which is expected to get slower and lower as the match goes on.

However, looking ahead, Vijay is optimistic his side can still force the pace despite the pitch offering precious little assistance to the bowlers.

"It's a good wicket, the first day it's like, I mean it's coming onto the bat really well, so obviously I don't know about day two and three," he said.

"A lot of people have told (us) that overcast conditions can change it a bit, so hopefully when we bowl around we can see something like that."
