Former Australian international fast bowler Jeff Thomson says that despite a 3-0 defeat in the 2013 Ashes series, he is optimistic when looking ahead to the 2013/14 series.
"We'll do alright," he says, adding that England should be worried ahead of the return series which begins in November.
"It wasn't a 3-0 result," he adds, before saying that England were almost beaten on occasion by what he calls an 'ordinary' set of batsmen.
According to Thomson, changing coaches immediately before the series was a help, rather than a hindrance, for Australia and he sees 'light at the end of the tunnel' despite the series defeat.
Thomson was talking to us at 'The Battle Of The Ashes' event hosted by Grange Hotels and D & G Partners in London.
