Worcestershire captain Vikram Solanki has been penalised under the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Discipline Code after being found guilty of a Level Two breach of the code.
"During the LV= County Championship match between Sussex and Worcestershire on 24th – 27th May 2010, Vikram Solanki was reported by Umpires David Millns and Nigel Llong for a Level Two breach of the code (throwing the ball at or near a player, umpire or official in an inappropriate and dangerous manner)," the ECB confirmed.
"He has received three penalty points, which will remain on his record for a period of two years. The accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two year period will result in an automatic suspension.
