Voges Joins Warne At Hampshire

Hampshire have announced the signing of Australian Adam Voges to replace the departing Stuart Clark after the Friends Provident Trophy semi-final on Wednesday.

Voges becomes the latest in a long line of Australians to join the club and will be available for the middle part of the season, which consists of the Twenty20 Cup and County Championship games.

27-year-old Voges is a right-handed batsman who made his first-class debut for Western Australia in 2002 and made his international debut in 2007 in the Chappell-Hadlee series.

Paul Terry, team Manager made the following statement:

“I’m looking forward to Adam joining us for the Twenty20 competition. Having coached Adam in Perth I know first hand what an explosive contribution he will make to the squad.”

Voges will join the squad for the Hawks’ first Twenty20 match against Kent Spitfires on Friday.
