Warwickshire v Gloucestershire Match Abandoned

Warwickshire v Gloucestershire Match Abandoned

In light of the persistent heavy rain at Edgbaston this morning, the match umpire travelled to the ground early and inspected the ground. Having consulted with Gloucestershire and Edgbaston's Head Groundsman, he reviewed the latest weather forecasts for the area and has confirmed that tonight's match is officially abandoned.

Whilst disappointed that yet another fixture has been lost to the weather, the Club is grateful that the umpire's decision has been taken early in the hope that fans do not have a wasted journey or face a series of pitch inspections this evening.

At this stage there is doubt about Sunday’s fixture, but please do keep up to date with information at www.edgbaston.com

Ticket holders will be able to reuse their tickets at one of Warwickshire's limited overs matches later in the season.
