The West Indies beat Sri Lanka to claim a third-place finish in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, Yannic Cariah scoring an unbeaten century to seal a six-wicket win in Christchurch.

Sri Lanka posted 291 for six, openers Denuwan Rajakaruna (94) and Udara Jayasundera (77) putting on 174 for the opening wicket before wickets before the West Indies hit back, Nelson Bolan taking two wickets.

In reply, Kraigg Brathwaite and Trevin Griffith fell for nought and one respectively before John Campbell (77) and Cariah, who was unbeaten on 110, put on 120 for the third wicket.
