West Indies Win Final Game In Dramatic Fashion

West Indies Women beat Sri Lanka Women by seven runs in the fifth and final Twenty20 International in Colombo, taking the series 4-1.

In another tight game, West Indies posted 122 for five as Deandra Dottin top scored with 44 before their bowlers held their nerve at the death to dismiss Sri Lanka for 115.

Sri Lanka Women recorded a consolation win in the fourth Twenty20 International against the West Indies. With the series already won by the visitors, Sri Lanka's bowlers combined to dismiss their opponents for just 101 and then knocked off the runs, not without a few alarms, to win by four wickets.
Stafanie Taylor hit 75 in 46 balls and Shanel Daley then returned five for 15 as West Indies Women thumped Sri Lanka by 34 runs in the third Twenty20 International in Colombo. Taylor's innings helped the tourists reach an imposing 145 for six and Daley's career-best effort saw Sri Lanka dismissed for 111 in the final over, handing West Indies an unassailable 3-0 series lead.
West Indies Women moved into a 2-0 series lead over Sri Lanka Women by winning the second Twenty20 International in Colombo by six wickets. Like the first match, runs came at a premium and after Sri Lanka had limped to 73 for eight, West Indies confidently reached 74 for four inside 16 overs to put themselves one win away from clinching the series.
West Indian captain Merissa Aguilleira held her nerve to hit the winning runs from the final ball of the first Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka Women in Colombo. In a low-scoring match, Sri Lanka posted 87 for eight but it needed Aguilleira's calm unbeaten 34 - including a boundary from the final ball - to guide the tourists to a two-wicket victory.

They were tested at times by Sri Lanka, who finished the World Cup in fifth, but eventually proved too strong for their ever-improving opponents.
