Yorkshire, Worcestershire, Nottinghamshire and Hampshire will be battling it out this evening to join Somerset and Sussex at Friends Life t20 Finals Day on 25th August. We preview both matches below.

3rd FLt20 Quarter-Final (match starts at 1515 GMT)
Yorkshire v Worcestershire at Headingl
ey

The return of Andrew Gale and David Miller means that Adam Lyth is likely to have to sit out when the starting eleven is named tomorrow. The other selection dilemma will be over whether to play two spinners at the expense of Iain Wardlaw. Ryan Sidebottom continues to be unavailable due to injury.

Yorkshire squad: Andrew Gale (captain), Phil Jaques, David Miller, Jonny Bairstow (wicket-keeper), Gary Ballance, Joe Root, Rich Pyrah, Adil Rashid, Azeem Rafiq, Mitchell Starc, Moin Ashraf, Steve Patterson, Iain Wardlaw, Adam Lyth.

Left-arm seamer David Lucas was dropped from Worcestershire’s last Championship match, but he has been named in their 12-man Twenty20 squad. Neil Pinner is also included after playing in the Clydesdale Bank 40 last week.

Probable Worcestershire squad: Moeen Ali, Vikram Solanki, Phil Hughes, Daryl Mitchell (captain), Gareth Andrew, James Cameron, Alexei Kervezee, Ben Scott (wicket-keeper), Brett D’Oliveira, David Lucas, Jack Shantry, Neil Pinner.

4th FLt20 Quarter-Final (match starts at 1810 GMT)
Nottinghamshire v Hampshire at Trent Bridge

The Outlaws have made one enforced change due Darren Pattinson picking up a groin injury during Sunday’s Clydesdale Bank 40 win over Scotland. He will be replaced by Jake Ball.

Nottinghamshire XI: Michael Lumb, Alex Hales, Riki Wessels, Samit Patel, James Taylor, Adam Voges (captain), Chris Read (wicket-keeper), Steven Mullaney, Jake Ball, Harry Gurney, Andy Carter.

It will be overseas sensation Glenn Maxwell’s final appearance for Hampshire before linking up with Australia and he is confident that his side can exploit the opposition’s thus far under-used lower middle-order. The Royals have included Bilal Shafayat and Simon Katich in their 13-man squad.

Hampshire squad: Jimmy Adams, James Vince, Neil McKenzie, Sean Ervine, Glenn Maxwell, Liam Dawson, Dimitri Mascarenhas (captain), Kabir Ali, Chris Wood, Michael Bates (wicket-keeper), Danny Briggs, Simon Katich, Bilal Shafayat.

Weather Forecast: The match at Trent Bridge will be played underneath almost clear blue skies, with temperatures pushing up to 24 degrees Celsius even in the evening. Headingley is likely to be a slightly more overcast affair, but it should remain dry and temperatures will again peak at around 24 degrees Celsius.
