Worcestershire have announced the signing of all-rounder James Cameron on a two-year contract. The 23-year-old left-arm medium bowler and left-hand batsman was born in Zimbabwe and holds a British passport while for the last four years he has been playing A grade cricket for Unviersity CC in Perth.

"I have always dreamed of being a professional cricketer and I am thrilled to take up this opportunity with Worcestershire. I see it as a real challenge and cannot wait to come over in a few weeks time," Cameron said.

Director of cricket Steve Rhodes added: "I am delighted with this signing. James has been highly recommended by people I respect and was scouted by Matt Mason on a recent trip home to Perth. We look forward to him arriving in March to prepare himself for the new season."
