World-Class Hospitality On Sale

ICC World Twenty20 England 2009 hospitality goes on sale at the Oval

The Oval, 6th October 2008:

The Oval has announced that hospitality packages for the ICC World Twenty 20 England 2009 at the stadium are now on sale.

The stadium has some of the country’s leading facilities for sports hospitality and a full range of packages are now available. The Oval is one of the four grounds hosting the ICC World Twenty20 along with Lord’s, Trent Bridge in Nottingham and Taunton in Somerset, which will host the women’s fixtures. The fixtures that are scheduled for the home of Surrey County Cricket Club are expected be amongst the games of the tournament.

There are a variety of settings that guests can enjoy whilst watching the cricket. For historic atmosphere, there are suites available in the Pavilion. Alternatively, the iconic Vauxhall End has rooms that can cater for parties of any size in more contemporary surroundings.

Each match day of the ICC World Twenty20 England 2009 will feature two games and will give guests the chance to enjoy a full day of tremendous action and excellent hospitality, with around six hours of World-Class cricket.

Depending on the results of the first round group stage, there is a strong chance that England will take on Australia at the Super 8 stage on 15th June at the Oval - a keenly anticipated prelude to the npower Ashes series. Combined with this, the most likely match-up for the other fixture of the day is Pakistan against Bangladesh.

Other exciting dates will include the semi-finals day on 19th June when hospitality guests will be able to watch one of the ICC Women's World Twenty20 semi-finals ahead of the men’s match.

Prices start from £345.00 per person plus VAT and the dedicated events team will prepare a package to meet any requirements. The Oval prides itself on providing the best service and first-class food across all of its hospitality suites. As all of the fixtures are sold out, hospitality packages  are the now only the only way people can get to see the ICC World Twenty20 England 2009. Packages are exclusively available through Keith Prowse (www.keithprowse.co.uk)

This year the Oval has been short-listed for ‘Business Venue of the Year’ at the Visit London Awards. The nomination is recognition for the ground’s position as a key destination for business entertaining. With excellent transport links to the City and well-developed policies on the environment, accessibility and sustainable business practices, the Oval is an industry leader in knowing what businesses want from a venue.

Zac Toumazi, Group Commercial Director, said: “We are very excited to be hosting the ICC World Twenty20 next year. For our guests it will offer some of the best sports hospitality opportunities in the country. We’re likely to be hosting some of the matches of the tournament, and with all of the fixtures already sold-out there’s certain to be an electric atmosphere at the Oval next summer.”
