Australian all-rounder Damien Wright is to make his debut for Worcestershire when the newly-promoted side take on Yorkshire in the opening game of the LV= County Championship.

Worcestershire have named a 12-man squad for the home game against the side that finished third in last year's competition and despite being 1/20 to go back down with , they are in an upbeat mood ahead of the new season.

Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has also included youngster Matthew Pardoe in the squad after he was handed a contract in the close season.
