Sussex all-rounder Michael Yardy will play no part in the Friends Life t20 match against Somerset this evening (14th June) as he takes a short break from the game, the club have confirmed.

Yardy withdrew from England's World Cup squad in March due to depression, returning home but has made a comeback, playing first-team cricket from May.

"After returning to first team action in May following his early departure from the World Cup in India, Michael has played a lot of cricket over the last six weeks and feels that  a short break now will assist his continued recovery, and enable him to return to competitive action soon," a statement from Sussex read.

Yardy has played four games in the FLt20 this season, as well as four CB40 and three LV= County Championship matches this summer.
