Indian pace bowler Zaheer Khan has been ruled out of the final Test with Pakistan with an ankle injury, according to a board official.

Zaheer joins RP Singh and Sreesanth on the injury list, meaning the selectors have delayed the squad announcement for the tour to Australia, instead naming 24 probables.

India travel to Australia for four Tests and a one-day international tournament involving the hosts and Sri Lanka.

They lead the series with Pakistan with 1-0, the final match starting in Bangalore on Saturday.
