Zimbabwe 209 (Taylor 64, Afridi 4-37) v
PCB Patron's XI 65-0 in Karachi
Scorecard

Zimbabwe made a poor start to their tour of Pakistan as they were bowled out for 209 by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Patrons XI on day one of their four-day tour match in Karachi with the home side closing on a solid 65 without loss.

A strong Patron's side which includes Shahid Afridi, Fawad Alam and Sarfraz Ahmed, swiftly assumed control of the match with the early wickets of captain Hamilton Masakadza (nought) and Vusi Sibanda (29).

Brendon Taylor hit 64 and Tatenda Taibu 46 as Zimbabwe looked to be recovering and Sean Williams struck 32, but once those three were out, Shahid Afridi and Yasir Shah ripped through the rest of the order, ending their innings inside 70 overs.

Afridi finished with figures of four for 37, Shah with three for 42.

The Patron's innings saw Nasir Jamshed (48) dominate an unbeaten half-century partnership with fellow opener Khalid Latif, who was unbeaten on 17.

Zimbabwe play five one-day internationals against Pakistan with the first match in Karachi on January 21st.
