Zimbabwe struggled for a second consecutive day of their tour match against a PCB Patron's XI, with the home side closing on 361 for three in response to Zimbabwe's 209 in Karachi.

Opener Nasir Jamsheed scored 182 from 240 balls, sharing a third wicket stand of 203 with Afaq Raheem (77) after Khalid Latif had departed early in the day for just 18.

Fawad Alam, perhaps unlucky to not be considered for the one-day series, joined Naumanullah to guide their side to stumps already with a considerable lead. Alam was unbeaten on 28, Naumanullah on 46.

Elton Chigumbura picked up two wickets for 61 but there was little to cheer from Zimbabwe's point of view after they were bowled out for 209 on day one with Shahid Afridi taking four wickets.

Zimbabwe play five one-day internationals in Pakistan, the first of which stars on January 21st.
