Zimbabwe closed in on victory on the second day of their three-day tour match against the Bangladesh Academy in Bogra.
After 22 wickets fell on day of the match, Zimbabwe had Hamilton Masakadza (66) and Tatenda Taibu (70) to thank for getting them to a second innings score of 273, which translated to a lead of 303 after the two sides were bowled out for 89 and 59 on day one.
Pick of the bowlers for the Academy was Nazmul Hossain, who returned four for 49.
Spinners Tawanda Mupariwa and Ray Price then ripped through the Academy batting line-up, sharing seven wickets after a second wicket partnership of 67 between Kamrul Islam (31) and Naeem Islam (36) had been broken.
The Academy closed on 107 for eight.
Zimbabwe take on Bangladesh in the first match of a One Day International tri-series which begins on January 10th in Mirpur.
