AB de Villiers to miss first three ODIs against India
South Africa will miss the services of ace batsman AB de Villiers in the first three One-Day Internationals against India following a finger injury.
The 33-year-old sustained the blow while attempting to take a catch in the slips during the third innings of the third Test against India in Johannesburg.
A statement released by Cricket South Africa revealed that de Villiers will need two weeks of rehabilitation period which effectively rules him out of the first three games of the series.
De Villiers, who recently made a comeback to Test cricket scored 211 runs from the recently concluded three Test series against India which the Proteas won 2-1.
The six match ODI series will be played between 1st and 16th February with Durban, Centurion, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Centurion being the venues.
