Kuwait have won their previous match against Hong Kong by 30 runs.

Kuwait batted first and they posted a respectable total of 272 in 50 overs. Adnan Idrees started off very well and smashed a run a ball 45. Usman Ghani provided the impetus into the innings with his cameo of 50 in 48 balls to help Kuwait reach a competitive total.

During the chase, Nizakat Khan took the responsibility of taking his team over the line. He made 60 off 97 balls. He couldn't find the right support at the other end as wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Yasim Murtaza played well and scored run a ball 43 but it wasn't enough as Hong Kong were bowled out for 242, losing the match by 30 runs.
