Adelaide Strikers clinch back-to-back wins over Hurricanes - Highlights WBBL

Tahlia McGrath posted her highest rebel WBBL score at Karen Rolton Oval today, hitting a match-winning 65 from 39 balls.

Solid contributions from Sophie Devine (40) and Suzie Bates (36), plus an important unbeaten 18 from Tegan McPharlin saw the Strikers through to 5/165 from their 20 overs.

Megan Schutt was at her shining best with the ball, taking 3/21 from four overs, while Dani Hazell's 1/17 was instrumental in keeping the Hurricanes at bay.

Alex Price turned the game on its head when she removed Heather Knight for 55, thanks to a spectacular catch from Devine, and Price went on to finish her two overs with 2/10.

A stray 17th over from Samantha Betts that went for 21 runs looked to have the Hurricanes back on top, however Schutt, Amanda-Jade Wellington and Sarah Coyte managed a collective 4/9 from the last three overs.

The Hurricanes fell 24 runs short of victory, with just one wicket in hand.

The Strikers finals hopes are still faintly alive, having now moved into sixth place on the WBBL ladder with two matches remaining.

The Strikers will take on the Perth Scorchers on Saturday and Sunday at Albrecht Oval from 9:30am in Alice Springs. Entry is free and the match will be live-streamed on and via the CA Live app.
