Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 136 runs in the Asia Cup

Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat against Bangladesh, at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi earlier today.

Afghanistan 255 – 7 (Hashmatullah Shahidi 58, Rashid Khan 57*, Gulbadin Naib 42*; Shakib Al Hasan 4-42)

Bangladesh 119 (Rashid Khan 2-13, Mujeeb Ur Rahman 2-22, Gulbadin Naib 2-30)

Result - Afghanistan won by 136 runs

Afghanistan scored an impressive 255-7 mainly thanks to an 8th wicket partnership of 95 between Rashid Khan 57*and Gulbadin Naib 42*; earlier, Mohammad Shahzad 37 and Hashmatullah Shahidi 58 had been the mainstay of their innings.

In reply, the Bangladesh batsmen had no answer to the bowling of Rashid Khan 2-13, Mujeeb Ur Rahman 2-22 and Gulbadin Naib 2-30 and they were bowled out for just 119.
