At the Khost Cricket Stadium in Khost, Khost opted to field and it paid instant dividends. Helmand was shot down for just 57 in 20.3 overs. Atal with figures of four for 23 along with Zia Sharafi (2-17), Hasibullah Lakanwal (2-12) and Noor Ahmad (2-4) helped lead the Khost bowling charge. Just two Helmand batsmen entered double figures including Nazir Ahmad (11) and Abdul Nafi (15).
The chase for Khost was very easy as they achieved the target in just eight overs with openers Naveed Obaid (24) and Rahim Mangal (25 not out) adding 41. The target was achieved in just eight overs.
