In a low-scoring match at Mis Ainak Cricket Ground in Khost, Kabul opted to bat and were bowled out for a mere 124 in 31.2 overs. Only opener Imran Janat (27) and one-drop Darwish Rasooli (41: 65b, 2x4, 2x6) provided any sort of resistance upfront. Thereafter, Asif Musazai (27) delayed the inevitable as Helmand bowlers were incisive in their spells. The best Helmand bowler was Dastagir Khan (3-28). He was well supported by Nawid Mohammad Kabir (2-32), Rahimullah Sahak (2-25) and Ahmed Zia (2-24).
The chase for Helmand had a few hiccups as they lost the openers quite cheaply, but wicket-keeper batsman Qudratullah held the innings together with a 98-ball 44 with four boundaries and a six.
He got good support from player of the match Rahimullah Sahak (34). Together, Qudratullah and Sahak put on 54 for the fourth wicket to seal the win in the 28th over for Helmand. The most successful Kabul bowler was Shafiqullah Ghafari (2-33).
