Afghanistan are set to visit Zimbabwe in February for a five-match One-Day International series to be played in Harare.

Zimbabwe's last international assignment was in November when they were involved in a tri-series which also had Sri Lanka and West Indies.

They managed a tie and also a win in the two matches they played against West Indies, which saw them progress to the finals where they lost to the eventual winners Sri Lanka.

On the other hand, Afghanistan are fresh from winning the recently concluded Desert T20 Challenge where they defeat Ireland in the final and they enjoy tremendous success against Zimbabwe after managing 13 wins from the 19 matches played between them.

Afghanistan have never lost a bilateral series against Zimbabwe previously, having defeated them in two each of ODI and Twenty20 International series while the 2014 series between them ended in 2-2 draw.

Additionally, Afghanistan are expected to tour West Indies in June and later scheduled to play bilateral series against Ireland in India.

The five games between the two teams will be played between 16th and 26th February in Harare.

Schedule for ODI series in Harare

16th February - First ODI
19th February - Second ODI
21st February - Third ODI
24th February - Fourth ODI
26th February - Fifth ODI
