Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat, scoring a competitve 156 – 8 off their 20 overs - Rahmanullah Gurbaz 79 top scoring with Keemo Paul 2-26, Sheldon Cottrell 2-29 and Kesrick Williams 2-31, the pick of the bowlers for the West indies.
In reply, the West Indies were strangled by the Afghanistan bowlers, only managing 127-7 - Shai Hope 52 top scored and Naveen-Ul-Haq 3-24 was the top wicket taker for Afghanistan.
