Dhaka Dynamites 106-2 (Lewis 44no) beat
Sylhet Sixers 101-9 (Afridi 4-12) by eight wickets
10th game, Bangladesh Premier League, Mirpur
Shahid Afridi picked four wickets and followed it with a blistering 37 run knock as well as Dhaka Dynamites trounced Sylhet Sixers by eight wickets in the 10th game of the Bangladesh Premier League in Mirpur.
Chasing just 102 to win, Evin Lewis (44 not out) and Afridi (37 not out) got the team off to a flying start with the latter being the major contributor. The former Pakistan captain smashed five sixes and a boundary in his 17 ball knock as the 50-run stand came in the fourth over.
Tim Bresnan (2-20) managed to remove Afridi and Cameron Delport (0) off successive deliveries but Lewis with his 18 ball unbeaten cameo ensured the Dhaka Dynamites completed the chase in just 7.5 overs with eight wickets in hand.
Earlier, Afridi (4-12) bowled the spell of the tournament and was equally supported by Sunil Narine (3-10) as Dhaka Dynamites left Sylhet Sixers reeling at 53 for nine before a record 10th wicket stand between Abul Hasan (30 not out) and Taijul Islam (16 not out) helped them recover and post 101 for nine in the 20 overs.
