Agility Training Drill with Chinmoy Roy

Chinmoy Roy joins Cricket World again, this time to share his agility training drills to help batsmen, bowlers and fielders a like.

Set up

  • Four agility poles in straight line, each 1 metre apart
  • From the fourth pole at a 20 metres distance in straight line place one cone
  • 5 metres from the cone place a spring stump
  • One feeder stands behind the spring stump with a cricket ball

Technical Cue

  • Lower your upper limb towards the ground before flinging your body
  • Before releasing the ball try to reach out towards the stump as much as possible with your hands
  • Move on the ball of the feet when weaving through the poles

Reps and sets

  • 6-8 reps with jog back to starting mark as recovery time
  • Rest for 2 minutes
  • Do 2-3 sets of this
